How to roll 1..N or 0..N-1

In this section we show various dice to roll a random number in the range 1..N or 0..N-1. For example, 1..4 can be rolled with a tetrahedron, with a square prism, with an octahedron with numbers 1..4 printed twice, with a dodecahedron with 3 x (1..4), etc.

Y2K Die*

The Y2K die consists of two halves, each with 0,1,2, or 3 dots. The sum of the dots is in the range 0-6 (this is why it is listed here as D7). Note that the probabilities are not equal: 0  appears with probability 1/16, 1 (1/8), 2 (3/8), 3 (1/2), 4 (3/8), 5 (1/8), 6 (1/8).
